    I first put my dog in daycare today. She’s been a mommas girl her whole life. Since 8 weeks old. She’s 2 1/2 now n didn’t want to go n kept trying to get out of the door at daycare. I think she’s traumatized but idk.

      Do you know how she dies in the daycare enviroment? Do they provide a report of how she does at the daycare? Remember, not all dogs benefit from the daycare and not all daycares are good for dogs.

    How do you teach your dog down(/lay/drop) using this? Doing the “bring hand to the ground” just teaches him to follow my hand and not my voice. How do I force him to lay down and listen to my voice?

    • @SaroDogTraining

      The hand signal for sit and lie down are very different. Using the right hand signals combining them with the verbal cues make a big difference. I explain and show how to teach the "Lie Down" command in this video: ruclips.net/video/a-63ZeIqwkY/видео.htmlsi=f184diNpU7aCHd56

    I've learned so much from you over the years thank you, but I think your videos are a bit boring. You should try using dogs that are not as obedient as your wonderful dogs so one can really see that it works, whatever you want to show us.

    • @SaroDogTraining
      @SaroDogTraining 5 дней назад

      Thank you for the feedback and suggestion! The primary reason I don't often use other dogs in my videos is that dogs typically respond best to their owners. Training is a collaborative effort between a dog and its owner. Imagine being asked to discipline a stranger's child. You'd probably feel uncomfortable, the child might not feel safe with you, and the parents could be upset. Similarly, in dog training, the bond and understanding between the dog and its owner are crucial. Owners need to learn how to train their own dogs, as the relationship and communication between them are what make training effective. However, I appreciate your suggestion and will look into incorporating other dogs in my videos in a way that respects this dynamic.

    I was given a beautiful 4-year-old Pomeranian jack Russel cross last September. I find he is reluctant to do his needs out the back yard he loves going for a walk, but he marks all the time and most times he will have a bowel movement. the problem is he will mark in the corridor in the house I have tried spraying vinegar to stop him but to no avail. I am pleased with his overall behavior, and he is fairly obedient except when he goes out a night, he sees a possum and he will not come in until almost 2am he runs away when I try to catch him. He is such a lovely dog and I have come to love him so much as he sleeps with me and is a very good watch dog. I am 85 so unable to walk him more than once a day. I just wish he would not mark in the house. Can you help me?

    • @SaroDogTraining
      @SaroDogTraining 6 дней назад

      So, he has been with you for almost a year. The marking in the corridor is a conversation with you that he wants you to know to help him regarding his mental state. He is leaving messages to you saying that he needs help. He feels insecure and not confidante about his life. You are probleble sharing too much affection and not much guidance and directions. You need to somehow provide him his daily required exercise which is physical stimulation, plus his daily mental stimulation with some one on one play and train, his daily socializations, care and then affection. Do your best based on limitations and abilities to fulfill his needs. Regarding chasing possums, simply take him out (during the day) on a leash or attached to a rope so you can get him back plus it gives him some assurance that he is connected to you.

    My dog has jealousy issues, and is marking indoor and outdoor. How can train good habits? My first thought is to go back to crate training. Take him out 1x every 4 hours. what else might you recommend? The jealousy issues are traits I inherited from his first owner. He was one of many dogs in his previous household and was not the favorite. He's a goldendoodle, only 1 year. People say to get him fixed and it will change however, i'm not so sure it's that easy. Let me know if you have additional training tips thanks

      The best advice that I can offer at this situation is to keep your dog under control, on leash or in a crate while you can't supervise it. Start training him to build trust and confidence and after few weeks of that see if he changes his behaviour.

      It is stress related which causes confusion in dogs especially after being adopted and since you have adopted 2 dogs, they are stressing each other and that causes behaviours such as this. Adopted a deer head chihuahua. She is great other than not being able to be trusted not to pee on the bed. No urinary cystitis, I take her out to pee constantly, but every once in awhile, as much as I've stressed it, she will do this and it drives me insane. I do NOT use "puppy pads" or any of the other toy breed methods that stem from either the wrong environment (city where people are too lazy to take them downstairs on the hour or walk them at all) or not taking her out enough. It's maddening because I live almost under zen monk cleaning principles and I cannot deal with this. I've had a Bullmastiff, beagles, a pitbul and NONE of them did this sh_t. Please help!

I'm self employed & take her her to work with me, I socialise her & we take daily hikes together. She's super happy & chill under all other circumstances, but just does this one thing where when I leAst expect it (it doesn't happen a lot) she'll sneak upstairs & do that. I noticed that she pee'd in a client's house the other day on the floor when we got there and I couldn't believe it, but saw it & took care of it (tile floor). I dunno, it's so weird because we communicate and have a good time at all other times, and then boom, out of nowhere every once in awhile.

      I understand that it feels that you are communicating well and everything seems normal but you had her for only 6 months now and she had a different life before so there are many factors that you are not aware of but it seems normal. You don't change a dog's life within 6 months unless you are a professional dog trainer. So, understand that your dog is communicating her feelings by peeing here and there expressing her feelings.

    • @lahaza6515
      @lahaza6515 26 дней назад

      @@SaroDogTraining What do you think the feelings would be? Important to know that she has a wonderful, sweet disposition and we engage constantly. She's the most cheerful little girl and I love her so, but that shock every so often of finding that when I KNOW she's been outside more than we're inside, is just so disheartening.🥲 I do know that the previous owner was a girl in her 20s who bred her (grrr....) and gave her to a woman who had two other little dogs who were fighting with her. That's how I ended up taking her. A friend of mine had heard about a chihuahua that had been given to someone who couldn't keep her bc of the dog fighting situation. I don't get the sense that it was abusive, but it does sound like her life may have sadly involved chaos. Her life here is peaceful, playful and super affectionate. Thx for your thoughts on this!

      What I suggest for start as you have just adopted the dog, try to build some connection , bond and trust before you start training it. Start by simple games and playing games that the dog loves. Try to get to know it. Likes and dislikes. Good things and the bad things of the dog. Once you have developed a light foundation then start playing and including some training in there by teaching the sit and stay and come commands. Most definitely works with dogs that have been semi-trained or trained but some dogs they still insist on a unwanted behaviour because they either focus on the subject and don't listen to the cues so this is a great way to redirect them instead of getting physical with the dog and punish the dogs that way.

      Don't look at it from negative point of view. Look at it as you are investing time and energy into your dog and spending quality time with your dog which will benefit you and your dog's relationship and life in future.

      Training an older dog to use indoor wee pads can take time and patience, but consistency is key!

      @@SaroDogTraining I know that, but how do I do it? He's trained to go outside but will not go out when it's raining so I want to know how to train him to go indoors too, but don't know how. He's 14 and in perfect health.

      It would be really hard to train a 14 year old to start peeing indoors as it has become a natural habit for him. Unless he is having accidents then you can make him wear diapers. Otherwise, as humans we can't force dogs to do things that are not natural. It also depends on your breed, personality and willing to change. So, I would just take him outside with an umbrella or somthing to let him pee outside rather than stressing yourself for something that is not realistic.

    I also like the way you’ve explained how you teach. I can understand everyone has different beliefs and experiences and I am open to new methods as well. We can all learn off each other and I guess it’s a case of learn what feels right for us and what feels wrong.

    Omg I’ve never seen that jerk online before. I can’t watch. Thanks so much for exposing this guy. It’s so sad that his clients can’t see this is not acceptable.
